Results for past SFT surveys in aggregate for the entire university are published annually and are publicly available.
However, in accordance with the Senate policy on Student Feedback on Teaching at Lakehead University, it’s at each professor’s discretion on whether they wish to make their individual SFT scores publicly available.
Publicly available results are limited to aggregated numerical scores. Written comments (i.e. responses to open-ended questions) are confidential to the professor and are not reported publicly. Comments are disclosed to the Dean or member of the promotion, tenure and renewal committee at the discretion of the faculty member.
According to the most recently released SFT results (2012/13), students continue to express a high level of satisfaction in the overall quality of teaching they receive at Lakehead, with 80% of students who strongly agree/agree that they would recommend their professor, and 78% of students who strongly agree/agree that they would recommend their course.
